Cup handling

TwinAutomation has developed a great deal of expertise in the handling of cups and cup rods.

We design machines for our customers that are precisely tailored to their requirements: from simple feeding and storage systems to fully automatic packing and unpacking systems for cup stacks.

We count, stack, store, separate, move, inspect and unpack anything cup-shaped. Always striving for the best solution for our customers - and aware that even a simple cup can be a sophisticated product.

TwinAutomation machines process cups and capsules made of different materials (aluminum, plastic, biodegradable) and regardless of the manufacturing process (thermoforming, injection molding). They are used for both cup and capsule production and filling.

Below are some examples of realized projects.

Gluing line for container

The system separates and labels plastic containers, fills a circumferential groove with glue and then stacks them.

A conveyor belt conveys containers from an endless stack into the system, where they are mechanically separated. A Scara robot picks up the containers and first transports them to a labeling unit before placing them in a heated nest. Another Scara robot fills the container groove with a precisely defined amount of glue. Finally, the container is gripped again by the transport robot and stacked on a conveyor belt.

Cup bar handling

The system removes cup rods from a filling line with a large 12-compartment gripper and places them on an indexed conveyor system. At three stations, Scara robots load and unload the cup rods into a belt rolling machine, which securely connects the cup rods to a belt. The line has a high processing capacity, thanks to the three stations working in parallel.

Storage for cup bars.

The system is a store for bucket bars and ensures continuous operation of the downstream system.

The bucket bars are fed manually to the accumulator by means of a feeding station. This conveys the bucket bars via a tray conveyor onto a lift, which feeds the bars into the large accumulator. On the back side, the bars are fed to the downstream process.

Cup handling Scara

The system buffers the cups arriving on a conveyor belt, groups them into threes, and stacks them in a container. Either returnable containers or cardboard boxes are loaded.
